Incident reports of my Zoom Zoom...
新年快乐!
Ever since I collect my new car on the 22th Nov 2006, it has suffered 3 minor hiccups.
The 1st hiccup is that its back bumper got knock by another fellow Singapore car at the causeway. It was during a terrible terrific jam as everyone is rushing to go back to Singapore. All the cars are tailgating each other and that was when my new car was knocked. Went down to take a look and luckily found only a slight scratch. Have a short conversation with the driver and all the drivers behind started to honk at us.. Fxxx them... Don know how they feel if one day it is their cars kenna knock?
2nd hiccup is more dangerous... was on my way to one of the shipyard and there was one oncoming lorry. Suddenly the lorry hit an object on the road and it flew towards my car. "Bang!" it went and I was caught off guard.. Quickly stopped my car at the roadside and found that my front number plate was hit and cracked by that object. Luckily the object did not fly higher if not I can say goodbye to my windscreen and maybe a possible accident. Phew! For those who know me... yup you are right... I betted heavily on 4d on my number plate after that narrow escape and as usual... kenna makan! Haha!
3rd hiccup is a puntured tyre. Was travelling around 80km/hr on the AYE and exiting Jurong and suddenly car lose control and start swaying and I heard a continous cracking sound under my car. Must have hit something on the road...quickly filter to the road shoulder and the sound only stopped after stopping my car. Went down and saw that left rear tyre has puntured and there were some obvious scratch marks on the tyre compartment. NB...what luck! No choice, have to change to the "Ah Pek" spare tyre and hope that tyre shop still open on new year eve. Luckily Stamford tyre is opened for business and I wasted $100 on a new tyre.Sigh!
I considered myself a careful driver but hiccups like this is unavoidable. My poor car has suffered and rite now it is still nursing a cracked number plate... The year of the Dog, which is supposed to be bad for me has passed. Hopefully in the year of the pig, there will be no more accident for me and my car... 平平安安!
